BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

What an online shop should consider
before choosing a shipping box

  • A size that fits the product

An oversized box lets the product move in transit and needs more cushioning. Measure the best-selling products, then choose a small number of box sizes that cover most of them.

  • Paper that absorbs impact

Corrugated board has several layers that absorb impact, suited to boxes sent directly through a courier. White corrugated looks cleaner than brown for bright printed designs.

  • The inside and the reveal

Many customers take photos as they open the box. Some styles can be printed inside, a place for the logo, a thank-you note or the shop's social channels.

MATERIAL & ARTWORK

Materials, coatings and what to prepare
for shipping boxes

  • Paper

Boxes sent directly through a courier should use corrugated board. Boxes packed inside an outer carton or delivered by rider can use folding board or kraft paper. Brown corrugated and kraft suit dark designs or one-colour logos.

  • Coatings

Shipping boxes rub against each other in transit. Gloss or matte lamination reduces scuffs on the print, and full-colour backgrounds show scuffs more than designs that leave the paper showing.

  • What to prepare

The size of the product including cushioning, the number of boxes used per month to pick a quantity tier with a suitable unit price, and a high-resolution logo file.

FAQ

Questions about printed shipping boxes

  • Can printed boxes go through a courier?

Yes. For direct courier shipping, choose a corrugated mailer box and a size that fits the product closely, to reduce movement and crushing.

  • How many box sizes does a shop need?

Many shops cover almost everything with just a few sizes. Measure the best sellers first, then group products that can share a box. Fewer sizes with more boxes per size lowers the unit price through the quantity tiers.

  • What does the unit price depend on?

The box style, size, paper, coating, special finishes and quantity. The larger the order, the lower the unit price through the quantity tiers. Prices are calculated instantly on each style's spec page.

  • Can several box sizes go in one order?

Yes. Add each size to the cart and pay together. The delivery method is chosen for each item when setting its spec, and its cost is already included in the item's price.

How ordering works

  1. Choose a box style in the shop, enter the size and quantity, then rotate the box shape in 3D before ordering.

  2. Compare paper types and weights (gsm) to match the weight and use of the product.

  3. Send the artwork as PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10 MB, after adding the item to the cart.

  4. Gloss or matte lamination reduces scuffs on the box surface and changes how the print feels.

  5. Add emphasis with foil stamping, embossing or spot UV, where the box style offers it.
